Dear Birth Mother,

I can not imagine the bravery you must have in your soul to make this decision. I applaud you in making such a difficult choice, but doing so for the betterment of your child. I would like to take a moment and tell you a little bit about us, thank you for the opportunity to do so.

Tim and I are both from Alaska and can't wait to return there someday, but for now we are wherever the Army needs us to be. The army has afforded us several opportunities including seeing new places, but also job security and medical insurance are among issues we don't have to worry about.

We have 3 little boys, Corbin-9, Caleb-6, and Dawson-5. We had thought about having another child, but decided to adopt instead. We very much want to add a little girl to our family. We love to spend time outdoors, camping, fishing, etc. We have dogs, a cat, and horses to also keep us busy.

Both Tim and I's parents are alive and well, as well as both sets of my grandparents, so any child brought into our family would have a great extended family as well. Tim has 2 sisters, I have a sister and a brother.

Tim has spent 12 yrs in the Army and will probably do the full 20 for retirement. I have 2 more semesters to finish my RN degree.

This process is all new to us, and I really don't know what is typical in these letters, but please know we are completely honest and open and happy to answer any questions you have for us.
